Student Liaison 

Lance Sanchez is a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation. He is in his senior year double majoring in American Indian Studies and Community Advocacy & Social Policy. He is the current reigning Mr.Indian ASU 2019-2020. Lance transferred from Tohono O’odham community college last year and has been actively engaged with the Office of American Indian Initiatives by volunteering at various events, has participated in Tribal Nations Tour for two years.  This past summer he worked as an Assistant Program Coordinator for our INSPIRE summer program that helps high school students with college readiness and preparation. For several years Lance has worked with numerous national organizations such as United National Indian Tribal Youth and the National Congress of American Indians Youth Commission where his primary focus was advocating on behalf of native youth across the country for a brighter future. Lance plans to attend law school after graduation to increase the rate of Native American lawyers across Indian Country but most importantly to help the Tohono O’odham Nation and many others.
