Peri Wildcatt

Student Intern

Peri is a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, from Cherokee, North Carolina. She is a senior majoring in Educational Studies, with a minor in American Indian Studies. Peri worked as a peer mentor for the INSPIRE Program, which is a college readiness summer bridge program for high school students. She also participates in the Tribal Nations Tour. The strength of TNT is having current ASU students present about their experiences at ASU to current high school and middle school students. This allows for young American Indian students to hear success stories from those who have lived it. After undergrad, she wants to pursue a masters in Indigenous Education. Peri hopes to become a guidance counselor, so she can help improve the graduation rates among Native Students, while also promoting higher education.
